Summer 2023 Library Internships

Become a library intern for the Virginia Trust for Historic Preservation and help the Lee-Fendall House Museum catalog its research library. Our collections, approximately than 2,000 volumes, is being cataloged this summer to become more accessible to researchers. The collection includes the VTHP’s Research Library and two small special collections: The Edward Jennings Lee Law Library and the John L. Lewis book collection.

If you love libraries and want to learn cataloguing and book repair, please apply. If you’re an MLS/MLIS student looking for a project that will make a difference, we would especially love to hear from you!

Schedule:

  • Flexible hours.
  • Work must be done in person at the museum on days the museum is open to the public (Wednesday through Sunday)
  • Free on-site parking is available as well as close proximity to public transport

 Qualifications:

  • Must be a currently enrolled student or recent graduate of a Library and Information Sciences (LIS) or related program.
