The Lee-Fendall House provides limited research facilities to guests and scholars.
Christopher Lee Resource Library
The Christopher Lee Resource Library is open by appointment to researchers during the museum’s hours of operation and on Tuesdays. The library collection includes books and other material pertaining to the Lee-Fendall House, the Lee family in general, and museum administration and collections care. These materials may not be checked out and may not leave the library.
The library’s archival collection consists primarily of material related to Philip Fendall, Philip Fendall Jr., the Downham family, and John L. Lewis.
There is a $5 admission fee to use the resource library. Photocopies (black/white only) may be requested at a cost of $0.20 a page.
The Lee-Fendall House can perform limited research services in the resource library or on items in the collection by request. Research service fees are $25 per hour. Photocopies (black/white only) may be requested at a cost of $0.20 a page. Mailed items will be assessed United States Postal Service mailing rates and packaging fees.
Objects in the museum’s collection may be studied or researched by appointment during the museum’s hours of operation. A base $5 admission fee will be charged; additional fees may be assessed depending on the item’s location and if staff assistance is required. Photography is allowed by request and upon signing an image use agreement.
