How long is the Pumpkin Hunt?

Each Pumpkin Hunt lasts 90 minutes and includes several activities:

  • The pumpkin hunt will begin within 15 minutes of the listed gate time. The pumpkin hunt lasts until all pumpkins in the garden are found.
  • A variety of craft activities will be available on the porch during the entire program.
  • Games will be available during the entire program.
  • A costume parade will be held as soon as the pumpkin hunt is over.

Children and adults of all ages may participate in crafts, games, and the costume contest.

Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?

The Halloween Pumpkin Hunt programs are very popular, and all of our program times have sold out in the past.  Due to space limitations, we limit the number of children who can participate in each program.  We strongly recommend that you purchase tickets in advance to be able to gain admittance to the program date and time that you prefer.  We cannot guarantee admission to any of our Pumpkin Hunt programs to anyone who has not purchased tickets in advance.  Full payment is required in advance for all tickets.

I purchased tickets in advance.  Why haven’t I received them in the mail?

We do not mail physical tickets.  Participants are checked against our database of ticket purchasers at the gate.

Is there an admission cost for infants?

Infants under 1 year old are admitted free with advance infant ticket only.  AN ADVANCE INFANT TICKET IS REQUIRED FOR FREE INFANT ADMISSION.  Please note there is limited room for strollers.

Due to the overwhelming positive response to our free admission policy for infants during our Advance Ticket sales, we will not offer free admission at the gate to infants with families that did not purchase advance infant tickets.  Families that did not purchase advance infant tickets will be charged the full child admission rate for infants.

Can I change my tickets to a different date and time after purchasing them?

We may be able to accommodate requests of this nature depending on when the request is made.  If you wish to switch to a program time that is already sold out, we will be unable to accommodate your request.  We are unlikely to be able to honor requests made the week prior to the Pumpkin Hunt.

My family purchased tickets in advance, but was unable to attend.  Can we get a refund?

Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds.

My family purchased tickets in advance, but we are unable to attend.  Can we give our tickets to a friend?

Tickets may not be transferred to another party.

My family would like to attend the Halloween Pumpkin Hunt, but the program time we want to attend is sold out.  Can we still attend?

In the event of no-shows by advance ticket holders, their spaces will be sold at the gate on a first-come-first-serve basis for that program only.  We are unable to place people on a waiting list or will-call list.  We cannot guarantee that tickets will be available at the gate.

Is parking available on site?

We have very limited parking on site.  Street parking is available on Washington and Oronoco Streets, or at any of several public parking lots within a few blocks of the museum.  We strongly recommend that you allow yourself enough time to park your vehicle and walk to the museum before the start of your program time.

Do you provide baskets or bags for collecting pumpkins?

Participants must provide their own bags or baskets.

What if it’s raining?  Will the program be held in the event of inclement or severe weather?

The Lee-Fendall House Museum will make the sole determination to cancel or postpone a program in the event of severe inclement weather.  Notices will be posted on the museum’s website, Facebook, and Twitter accounts.

The rain date for this event is Sunday, October 27.  Please check your ticket for your rain date admission time.

In the event of cancellation,  tickets will be refunded within 30 days.
