FIFTH ANNUAL HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN HUNT
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS AN OUTDOOR EVENT!
We have received many inquiries about how the weather will affect this year’s Pumpkin Hunt program. Many inquiries have expressed the hope that the program will be held even in the event of rain.
The current weather forecast is calling for at least an inch of rain to fall Friday through Saturday, with a significant chance for light rain or showers throughout Saturday. Under these conditions, it is a certainty that the Lee-Fendall House garden will be wet and muddy.
Although we stage some of the event’s activities indoors, the museum does not have the capacity for all of the children and adults attending each program time to be indoors at once. Due to space limitations, the pumpkin hunt portion of the program and the costume contest cannot be held indoors.
Due to these conditions, anyone who has purchased advance tickets who chooses not to attend the program will be issued a full refund. You do not need to contact the museum beforehand. Any name that does not check in during the program time will be refunded.
For attendees who plan to attend regardless of weather conditions, please note the following:
- Please dress your families appropriately for the weather. You should expect to spend 5-10 minutes outdoors in line before the program starts, plus another 15 minutes as we check everyone in.
- The pumpkin hunt portion of the program will be held outdoors.
- The costume contest will be held outdoors.
- Although some activities are staged inside, the museum does not have the capacity for all attendees to be inside at the same time.
- There is not space inside the museum to accommodate strollers. All strollers will need to be parked outside.
